PNN Newsletter: Member Appreciation Party this Sunday at Summit Church!

Come celebrate your contribution to our collective work as honored guests at our Member Appreciation Party on Sunday, December 8th starting at 4:30PM. It won't be an appreciation party unless you're there to be appreciated!

Mark Your Calendar:

  • Date & Time: Sunday, Dec 8th, 4:30PM-6:30PM

  • Location: Summit Church, 6757 Greene Street (Westview St entrance)

The Party

Every one of us needs fun social events right now, surrounded by friends and allies. And it’s time to appreciate all that you did by sharing great food, conversation and companionship.

There will be plenty to eat, including some great food prepared by Chef Kurt Evans, proprietor of Black Dragon restaurant, but if you want to bring a special dish of your own, or a dessert, please let us know when you sign up.

The Work

Then, we will start the work of resistance once again. We'll talk about what that looks like, and what your role in this work can be. We'll provide you with a status report on what is being done in Philly and elsewhere to protect and deflect against what will be an onslaught of authoritarian measures from the coming administration.

State Rep. Chris Rabb will give us the low-down on what to expect in Harrisburg in 2025.

District Attorney Larry Krasner will share with you what it might look like in our city and what he can do to thwart the worst initiatives.

Then we'll lay out a vision possible ways in which all of us together can join that resistance. And you'll likely get a chance to chat with some of our elected allies.

This is an opportunity to hang out in a supportive environment, to share stories and concerns, and get ready for 2025. Feel free to bring a friend you'd like to invite to become a member of PNN. Just let us know when you sign up, so we can keep a head count.

Please take this moment to let us know you'll be joining us.
